Cineyug director Karim Morani was admitted to Lilavati hospital yesterday after he complained of uneasiness.

A source close to Morani informs, "Karim is a chronic heart patient. He has had two heart attacks in the past and has got angioplasty done thrice."

His brother Mohammed Morani said, "He was feeling some pain in chest, that's why he has been kept under observation."

Speculations are rife that if he has actually unwell or trying to buy time. Karim did not appear in the court for a hearing in the 2G scam case hearing last Friday.

Morani's lawyer moved an application in the court stating that he will be unable to appear in court because of ill health. The court granted him exemption. His next hearing is likely to be on June 10.
