It's bank-heist film tentatively called A Simple Plan. But the plan, if we must know, is not so simple. Director Sagar Ballary has cast Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey and Arshad Warsi as bank robbers in a film that belongs to the same genre as Oceans 11. .
Add to this casting brew the F. A. L. T. U star Jackky Bhagnani. And we have a boys' film that could give Abbas-Mustan's Players, the desi Italian Job a run for its (robbed) money.
Says Sagar, "I've three really fine actors Vinay, Ranvir and Arshad. And Jackky I was really impressed with when I met him. He's gone to acting school abroad. He understands cinema. "
Sagar has cast Jackky as a suave blackmailer. "It's complex role and I am sure Jackky can pull it off. "
The film takes Sagar Ballary a distance from the Bheja Fry films. "After Bheja Fry2 releases I need to move into a completely different zone. In fact Bheja Fry 2 is in many ways quite the opposite to the first film. "
How, you wonder. Sagar explains, "Well, for one all the songs that we had for Vinay Pathak in the first film were songs of separation. In Bheja Bry 2 Bharat Bhushan (Pathak) refers only to happy songs. "
Interestingly Vinay Pathak's role in Bheja Fry2 has shades similar to his role in the recent Chalo Dilli.
Sagar explains, "In both the films Vinay plays the workingclass citizen in conflict with an individual from the elite class. In Chalo Dilli it was Lara Dutta. In Bheja Fry 2 it is Kay Kay Menon. "
