We were in this open bus on our way to the hotel and I wasn't paying attention to anything else except looking at the beautiful city.
For the first stunt, we were told to get up at around 4.30, and it was so cold I wanted to run back to my room. We were then blindfolded and taken to the location where we had to perform our first stunt.
I was very excited, but because we were blindfolded for such a long time, there was a feeling of desperation as to what is happening around us and when we could remove our folds.
We had no idea where we were. I could smell soil, grass and could figure out we were in an open field. Suddenly we heard Akshay's voice. He has so much of bass in his voice; I don't think he even needs a mic. I was shocked for a second.
I mean imagine you have seen him on TV for so many years, and suddenly he is in front of you. And I thought, he looks better in person than his films. He was glowing and looked way smart. I kept on staring at him for the longest time.
When he was explaining the first stunt, that's when my focus shifted from him to the stunt. When I heard the stunt, I thought it was a very easy thing to do. But when I started wearing the safety gear, my heart began pounding. I remembered all the important people in my life and asked for their blessings. Somehow I managed to do it but at the end of the first stunt, I was injured and it was very painful.
Sambhavana's exit was the talking point of that day. I mean his partner Khalid; unke bade komal haath the, who just couldn't hold on to the rope. Sambhavana also figured out that the problem is not in the stunt but with her partner.
On the show, I found Bani very strange. During every performance she used to get very hyper and make random comments. When Smita was performing, she said, "Arre uska horse toh bada slow bhag raha hai."
She also pressurized her partner a lot and even threatened him.
She would say, "Mei tumhara career kharab kar doongi agar tumne stunt nahi kiya toh." Her partner was really scared and it wasn't possible to perform under such forced pressure.
For me, the water tunnel stunt was the most dangerous stunt. I even wished that this stunt was only for the guys. The water was so freezing that just moments after entering it I couldn't even feel my legs as they had become numb.
My partner, Pravin had the confidence one needs to do the stunts. He was very focused about his task.
I think Pravin lacked co-ordination in the stunt which went wrong and led to my eviction. He just pressed the button and I wasn't even expecting to enter the water.
After going inside the water, that's when I took a deep breathe and all that salty water went inside my nose. I was feeling dizzy and went through a terrible time hanging upside down. So that's why I had to back out. I think I will blame my partner for my failure.
Ultimately, working with Akshay Kumar was great fun and his sense of humour was amazing. If he got the slightest hint that you were scared, he really motivated you to overcome your fear and do the stunt. He also spoke with me in Marathi language, which I found very cute.
