Director Punit Malhotra said his film I Hate Luv Stories is one of the greatest film made in Indian cinema till date. Well, he was
joking as he basked in the glory of its success.
One of Dharma Productions' runaway hit films of last year, I Hate Luv Storys was lapped up by audiences in India and abroad, by
young and old alike.
Speraking on his film Punit Malhotra said jokingly: "Perhaps one of the greatest film made in Indian cinema."
"The director was talented true to his task and went on to make the most witting film ever. Everybody in Dharma (Dharma
Productions) and every body around him should be proud of him, " he said in a humorous tone about himself.
A romantic-comedy starring two of Bollywood's hottest young stars, Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, the movie takes a pot-shot at
everything from designer sets to dancing in the rain in chiffon saris.
Providing a "saucy" take of today's gen-next, I Hate Luv Storys was successful at pulling in the crowds to the theaters.
I Hate Luv Storys completes one year on the 2nd of July.
While many may think that Punit Makhotra is too young to handle the intricacies of filmmaking, actually he is a veteran when it
comes to working behind the camera.
He has assisted director-producer Karan Johar on blockbusters like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kabhi Alvida Naa
Kehna, Amol Palekar on Paheli and Tarun Mansukhani on Dostana as creative director.
