Television actor Ronit Roy has been detained on grounds of rash and negligent driving on Thursday morning.

Roy has allegedly hit three people which included a 56-years-old woman who has been admitted in a hospital at Andheri, media reports said.

The accident occured at the Amboli region of suburban Mumbai, reports said.

Meanwhile, he has been sent for medical examination to check intake of alcohol.

Ronit Roy has acted in several HIndi serials that include Bandini, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagi Kay.

He got critical acclaim playing the role of a tough father in the film Udaan, made in 2010.
