1. Sahib Bibi Aur Gangster: For its writing, craft of direction and brilliant performances.

2. The Dirty Picture : For being bold brave and unapologetic. And for Vidya Balan's performance

3. Delhi Belly: For the first time an Indian film in the English language did not alienate me as a viewer.

Nishikant Kamat:

1. Rockstar: Soul-stirring music, unbelievable conviction of Ranbir Kapoor, Imtiaz Ali at his best, took romance to a new level

2. Chillar Party: A refreshing children's film with solid performances by all the kids. Good music, sensitive storytelling.

3. Tanu Weds Manu: Simply brilliant love story shot in various North Indian locations where minute detailing of cultural references and rituals took the story to an utterly credible level. A family entertainer.

Amole Gupte

1. Rockstar: Sizzling heart and experienced angst. Kudos to Ranbir, Imtiaz, (cinematographer) Anil Mehta, designer Akki Nirula and A R Rahman

2. The Dirty Picture: Vidya Balan all the way for her gutsy portrayal. Film was just okay.

3. Stanley Ka Dabba: Last but not the least, 500 souls stirring the heart with the ladle of childhood.

Sudhir Mishra:

Yeh Saali Zindagi, Yeh Saali Zindagi, and Yeh Saali Zindagi...my film was as good as any. But the industry has clammed up about it. So this is my way of saying, the industry is not fair to me, then why should I be fair to them?

If you insist on 3 other films, then The Dirty Picture, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Delhi Belly.

Sanjay Gupta:

The Dirty Picture: For Vidya and Ekta Kapoor

2. No One Killed Jessica: For Rani and Ronnie Screwvala

3. Delhi Belly: For Imran and Aamir.

All three were fabulous films where the star and producer dared to go against the tide and emerged victorious.

Subhash Ghai:

1. ZNMD: It was real and contemporary cinema

2. The Dirty Picture: This was again a very real film set on the 1980s

3. Pyaar Ka Punchnaama: About today's youth

Sanjay Gadhvi :

Rockstar: Because Of Ranbir Kapoor

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan: Because Of Katrina Kaif

Dirty Picture: Because Of Vidya Balan and dialogues

Siddharth Anand

1. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD): This was my film of the year

2. Singham: thoroughly enjoyable

Satish Kaushik:

1. Sahib Bibi Aur Gangster: Solid script and dialogues, great performances

2. The Dirty Picture: For Vidya Balan's uninhibited gutsy performance

3. ZNMD: For Zoya Akhtar's intelligent and mature handling of a road movie.

Suneel Darshan:

Singham: Return of cinema of the the 1980s with good action and effective performances by Ajay Devgn and Prakash Raj

ZNMD: well-written and well-directed

The Dirty Picture: Vidya Balan and quirky dialogues

Siddharth Malhotra

1. Stanley Ka Dabba: An honest small film with a heart of gold and a universal message of humanity and much more.

2. Singham: I've grown up watching films of my grandpa Premnath. The asli mard hero came back with this film.

3. Delhi Belly: Funny and intelligent.

Hansal Mehta:

1. Rockstar: Ranbir Kapoor, Rahman

2. Dhobi Ghat: An ode to my beloved city. Silent, delicate, poetic and sensitive. I fell in love with Bombay (not Mumbai) again. Kiran Rao - a star is born!

3. Delhi Belly: A deliciously 'dirty picture'. Wonderfully written, very well directed and brilliantly produced.

Ananth Mahadevan

BOL: for its incisive look at at a Pakistani family mired in tradition and patriarchal rule. The quest that takes them to extremities, is a mirror of a failing society in the neighbourhood.

STANLEY KA DABBA : A true children's film is a rarity and Amole Gupte gives the grown-ups too something to chew on. The world of a child who faces stress, complexities and other predicaments is studiously written and shot, though some children felt that there was no real conflict in the film.

I AM KALAM : Another look at the world through a child's eyes. The dream of a tea dispensing boy to follow the footsteps of Abdul Kalam and educate himself tugged at your heart more than all the melodrama of the so called blockbusters did.

Tarun Mansukhani

1. Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara: For its writing, its humour, Farhan Akhtar's performance and Zoya Akhtar's directorial finesse

2. Dirty Picture: For the most amazing and uninhibited performance by Vidya Balan

3. Delhi Belly: For its genuine writing and dialogues

Sujoy Ghosh:

1. ZNMD: For the way Zoya Akhtar told the story it made me feel a part of the film.

2. Singham: Loved the pure entertainment.

3. The Dirty Picture: For the sheer prowess of Balan's histrionics. She confirmed that acting matters

Kunal Kohli:

1. ZNMD: Lovely slice-of-life film.

2. Dirty Picture: Wonderful story and great performances. What a bold film!

3. Singham: Full-on masala entertainer. Loved Devgn's performance.

Rensil d'Silva

1. ZNMD: Brilliant in all departments. Farhan Akhtar's performance stands out

2. Delhi Belly: It broke all the norms, and succeeded

3. Shor In The City: Small film, big surprise.

Anurag Basu

1. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara:

2. No One Killed Jessica

3. The Dirty Picture
