"I am more interested in doing movies that offer meaningful roles at this point of my career. Movies are going to be my priority now," says Javed, son of yesteryear comedian Jagdeep.
"I started as an actor but I could not concentrate on my acting career ever since my debut. I remained busy with television, which gave me recognition and success. But now I think I am ready to give another shot at acting."
Javed who started his career as a lanky spectacled teenager in Subhash Ghai's hit Meri Jung became a star in his own right with his dancing prowess.
Though his recent movies Boom and Jajantaram Mamantaram falied miserably at the box office, Javed's performance was highly appreciated, "I found the characters exciting as an actor and so did it. I got positive reviews for my performance which is very satisfying for any actor."
The popular Bol baby Bol number showed his dancing skills, lifted him to instant stardom and he was dubbed as the next dancing sensation after Mithun. "Dancing has always been my strength and that is one reason I agree to anchoring dance shows in televsion," says the King of rock' n ' roll.
If dancing shot him to fame, his television anchoring and mimicry performances brought out the actor in him, "I flowed with my career. I did'nt have the time to think and grabbed whatever came my way," he says on his shift from acting to anchoring.
