"I am super excited as I have always loved the show. So far I have never had the opportunity to try my hands at comedy, which I believe is the toughest of all, " Dubey said in a press statement.
"I have always appreciated the participants on the show and I am looking forward to having a blast on 'Kahani Comedy Circus Ki', " he added.
The new season, to go on air Monday on Sony Entertainment Television, will see actor-filmmaker Sohail Khan as the judge once again. He will team up with actress Archana Puran Singh, who has remained a constant on the show ever since it was launched in 2007.
Sumona Chakravarti, who plays Natasha Kapoor in "Bade Acche Lagate Hai", will also participate in the new season.
