Saif Ali Khan can thank his prospective bro-in-law Kunal Khemu for helping him bag his next home production a zombie flick

Post Agent Vinod that may not have scored high at the box office, Saif Ali Khan has his sister's boyfriend to thank for his next home production.

We hear that it was Kunal Khemu who was involved with the ideation and the scripting of the zombie film, two years ago and Saif came into the scene much later when Kunal casually mentioned it to him one evening over dinner.

Confirms Kunal, "Directors Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK and I have been working on this for a very long time. And then sometime back, Saif happened to come across the trailer of their film 99 and asked me about them.

That's when I told him that I was working on this zombie script and it got him intrigued." Saif then met up with the directors and decided to produce the film himself.

Working out fine

Adds Khemu, "Saif thought it was a very cool script. He called me within two days and asked why I hadn't mentioned it to him before. It was pretty fantastic when he said he would like to produce it himself.

I think we were lucky to have him." Ironically, after his last film, Khemu finally seems to be coming into his own, and though it may seem like Saif could provide him some precious career advice, he insists that they hardly ever talk about work.

He says, "In fact, even in this film, we don't have much to do together. We have already finished more than 60 per cent of it."

All in the family

Kemu adds, "Saif is a cool person to hang out with. There are a lot of things you can chat with him about. For some reason, we don't really sit down and talk about work, because that takes up most of our time. But yes, I do get along furiously well with him."

Wedding bells, not yet!

As far as rumours about Kunal and Soha Ali Khan's impending wedding goes, the actor says that they do not have plans to wed anytime soon. In fact, they are yet to take the next step.

"We are in a happy space now. I haven't asked her for marriage yet. We are taking our time."
