Kamal Haasan's Mumbai Xpress, will be released by Sahara One, which recently acquired the distribution rights of the film. The Hindi-Tamil bilingual is being readied for release all over India in mid-April.

Sahara One in association with Raajkamal Films International is also working on a grand overseas premier of the Tamil version of the film in Toronto, Canada, Kamal Hassan is said to have a huge following among the 5 lakh Tamilians based there.

Mumbai Xpress features Kamal Haasan, Manisha Koirala, Om Puri, Vijayraaz, Saurabh Shukla, Raza Murad, Dinesh Lamba, Sharat Saxena, Pratima Kazmi, Master Hardik and others. Wellknown Kannada star Ramesh Arvind makes his debut in an important role.

Being directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, the film has music by Ilayaraja, lyrics by Javed Akhtar, screenplay by Kamal Haasan, dialogue by Saurabh Shukla, cinematography by Siddharth, art by Nitin Wable, editing by Ashmith Kunder, stunts by Vikram Dharma, costumes by Nalini Sriram and sound by Prabhal Pradhan.

The film is being produced by Chandra Haasan and Kamal Haasan. Sameer Chanda is the production designer and Anuradha Chiller is the on-line producer.
