Reason: The filmmakers announced her name without waiting for her confirmation

KC Bokadia's upcoming film on murder victim Bhanwari Devi has met with a roadblock. Apparently Mallika Sherawat, who was said to be essaying a character based on Bhanwari, has said no to the film.

A source informs us, `Mallika was approached to play the role of Anokhi Devi and the film was inspired from Bhanwari Devi.

Jackie Shroff, Om Puri and Ashutosh Rana were to co-star in the film. Though Mallika reminded them to send her the film script, the makers never sent it. To top it all, Bokadia went ahead and announced her name.`

Apparently, Mallika's brother Vikram Lamba is extremely upset over this and the fact that the makers wanted to garner publicity at her cost.`

A source from the actress' office confirms our news, `Yes, it is true that Mallika is not doing Bokadia's film. Also, Vikram was miffed as the makers used Mallika's name without her even saying yes to the film.`
