The 29-year-old, who will be playing the lead in the yet untitled action thriller to be produced by T series, said the film has a unique plot which drew him to it. "The film is a thriller but very heavy on action so it's gonna be a first for me in many ways.
The idea is very unique and new, but still fits into the genre of an action thriller. It's an on-the-run film and is going to be very fast paced," Kunal told.
Having begun his Bollywood journey as a child artiste, Kunal said he knew Vikram since 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke' (1993) and wanted to work with him. "He was an assistant on Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke. I've known him since then and for the past year and a half we've been in touch, figuring out a film to do together.
Then two months back he approached me with this film," he said. The film is slated to go on floor in December or January and the female lead is yet to be cast. Kunal is waiting to finish shooting his next project 'Go Goa Gone' so that he can sit and discuss his look in the action film with Vikram. Basking in the success of 'Raaz 3D', Vikram is also looking forward to working with Kunal.
"I have admired Kunal right from the time that he was a kid and I was an assistant in Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke. The film that I am planning with him is a very ambitious action film. I have met him a couple of times on a subject and his enthusiasm is addictive! We make a good team," Vikram said.
