Shakti Kapoor has never had it so good in his career, what with the many offers for acting that are pouring in day after day. Post the India TV sting operation; life has actually started looking up for the actor, who at one stage feared being out of work, when the Film Producers' Guild called for a ban on him.

Following Mahesh Bhatt's decision to cast him in SHOW BUSINESS, Kapoor has been signed by four other makers for their forthcoming projects, Deepak Shivdasani, Karan Razdan, Partho Ghosh and Mahendra Dhariwal.

The film with Deepak Shivdasani has Sunil Shetty and Arshad Warsi in it, while the cast of the other films is currently being finalized. "I think God has been really kind to me. The films that I am being offered are an indication of the support I have from the industry and I thank the makers for standing by me," Kapoor says.

The film that he is very excited about though is SHOW BUSINESS with Mahesh Bhatt, where he ironically plays the reverse of his real life character in the sting operation, of an over-ambitious television journalist who is prepared to go to any extent for a sensational story. "I don't think it is ironical that I have been offered the role. On the contrary, I'll be able to perform the role better now that I have been a victim of sensational journalism," he says.

He is deeply touched by Bhatt's decision to cast him. "It came as a pleasant surprise when Mahesh-ji attended a mahurat of one of my films as the Chief guest and made the announcement of his decision to cast me. I literally had tears in my eyes," he recalls.

Meanwhile, he is now preparing to leave for London for a long stint of a film produced by a major corporate group, which he has just signed. "I am enjoying this phase when I have my hands full with work," he says.
