Reacting to the ongoing tussle between actor-producer Ajay Devgn and Yash Raj Films, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan said he hopes both 'Son of Sardaar' (SOS) and his 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' (JTHJ) will perform well at the box office.

According to reports, actor-producer Devgn has sent a legal notice to Yash Raj Films and alleged that it was using its strong position in the industry and pressurising exhibitors to promote late filmmaker Yash Chopra's last directorial venture 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' over his 'Son of Sardaar'.

"I was reading about it. I think there are enough screens. Really, there is nothing much to speak on it. These are legal matters. Thankfully it is not my production company, " Khan told reporters.

"I hope they resolve it nicely...I hope that both the films do very well and God bless each film, " Khan said.

Both the films are scheduled to hit the big screen on Nov 13.

'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' features Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead roles.

'Son of Sardaar' on the other hand features Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla and Sonakshi Sinha.

Pertinently, Devgn is producing the film.

SRK hopes JTHJ helps popularise armed forces

The Superstar is happy to be playing an army officer in "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" and hopes it can help popularise the forces.

"I am glad that I am playing an army officer. I feel good that by portraying characters from armed forces in our films, hopefully, we can popularise the profession because our army, navy and air force is beyond the profession, it's a dedication to your nation, this is what I feel, " the 47-year-old said here Friday at a press conference on his birthday.

Shah Rukh, whose character is named Samar in the movie, says he would be glad if even one young boy is inspired to join the armed forces after watching the film.

"When I was shooting in Kashmir, many officers used to meet and ask 'You are doing na', so, now may be the boys (are getting inspired). I don't know if they will (get inspired). But if I am able to do that through this film or through 'Fauji' or if one person decides to do that, will be really nice because it is the most honourable and noble profession to be in the armed forces, " Shah Rukh said.

Shah Rukh had first played an army man, Commando Abhimanyu Rai in the 1988 TV series "Fauji". Later, he donned the uniform for 2004 release "Main Hoon Na", and in "Veer-Zaara", he played an airforce officer. "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma and hits theatres this Diwali, Nov 13.
