Rashami's character was that of a mean and manipulative woman who viewers loved to hate. She is re-entering the show on the completion of its 1,000 episodes Wednesday.
Talking about her comeback, Rashmi told: "I have been working with Colors and 'Uttaran' for the last three years. I took the offer because the role I am going to do now is very challenging. There are going to be lots of twists and turns in the plot that I can't reveal now."
Rashami, who married her "Uttaran" co-star Nandish Sandhu Feb 12, took a break for two reasons.
"I took a break from the show because I got married and wanted sometime for myself. Also the show took a generation leap and I wasn't sure if I was ready to play mother to a grown up girl. So I decided to take a break because till the time I am not convinced with my role, I can't convince my audience," Rashami told.
A trained Kathak and Bharatnatyam dancer, Rashami started her career at an early age and got her first break in 2005 show "Ravan" followed by "Pari Hoon Main" and "Meet Mila De Rabba", before "Uttaran" happened in June 2009.
After taking a break from the show, the 26-year-old went on to shake a leg on dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa". All her experiences are special, she says.
"'Jhalak...' has been an amazing experience because I love dancing. It was something I have always wanted to. After it got over I wanted to get back to acting and thought instead of going out for work it is better I join my 'Uttaran' family and get back to the show.
"'Uttaran' changed my life. I fell in love on the sets of the, got married, went to 'Jhalak...' and many other good things happened. So whatever I do in life, no one can take away the memories from me. They will always be there with me," said Rashami, who was among the top three in "Jhalak...".
