After a successful 2012, actor Akshay Kumar enters 2013 by shooting for the Hindi remake of Tamil action thriller 'Thuppakki'

"Started shooting my first film in the New Year, the Hindi remake of 'Thuppakki'! Would love to get your good wishes today," Akshay tweeted Thursday.

For the Hindi remake, Akshay once again teams up with Sonakshi Sinha with whom he worked in 'Joker' and 'Rowdy Rathore'.

The original was directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who wields the megaphone for the Hindi remake too.

The year 2012 was a splendid year for Akshay with as many as five hits - he had six outings and out of them 'Housefull 2', 'Rowdy Rathore', 'Oh My God!' and 'Khiladi 786'. These films not only earned profit, but some even entered the Rs.100 crore club.
