The story follows a struggling lawyer Jagdish Tyagi aka Jolly (Arshad Warsi) from Meerut to Delhi who has a burning desire to make it big in the courtrooms. To fulfil is ambition, he finds a loophole in the argument made by a celebrated lawyer Rajpal (Boman Irani), and then files a PIL against him. This move changes his life forever.
Saurabh Shukla as the seasoned judge who oversees the procedures of the case gives the movie an added zing.
What follows is a combination of satire, thriller and courtroom drama which also manages to give a commentary on the Indian society and judicial system.
Amrita Rao plays the role of the teacher who is Jolly's love interest in the film.
