Madhur Bhandarkar has jetted off to Australia for a holiday with his friends. The filmmaker is on a weeklong vacation and will be visiting Perth, Sydney and the Gold Coast. He will be back in the country in time to start work on his next film.

A friend of Madhur says, `He left for Australia on Monday night for a well-deserved break. He has had Australia on his mind for a while now. Now that he has finalised the story of his next project with Ronnie Screwvala, he is off for his vacation.`

The director is also said to be reading a few scripts that he could produce under his banner. Bhandarkar could not be reached as he was travelling.
