Here's another addition to the slew of actors who pull out of promotional activities for their films at the last minute.
This time it is Kangna Ranaut who is apparently miffed with her new film's director Sanjay Gupta. And the reason for Kang's ire is that there are too many actresses who are part of the film, including all the guest appearances.
Sanjay's next is said to have seven music tracks and also features Priyanka Chopra, Sunny Leone and Sophie Choudry. A source close to Kangna says, `She is not happy with the last minute additions in the film.
.
There are other actresses also, some are doing songs and some are making guest appearances. She might not promote the film.` However, Sanjay says he is not aware of Kang's intentions yet. He quips, `This is the first time I am hearing this. It's not true at all.` Kangna did not respond to our SMS.
Sanjay Gupta on the controversy!
Sanjay Gupta, whose directorial venture "Shootout At Wadala" has three item numbers, says making a film without songs is next to impossible for him.
"Ours is a commercial film. We want to entertain people, we want to give them a great story and great music. For me, any Hindi film that does not have entertaining songs is not entertaining. For me, making a film without songs is almost next to impossible," Gupta said here Tuesday at the music launch of "Shootout At Wadala".
The movie, releasing May 1, boasts of a number titled "Babli badmaash", pictured on Priyanka Chopra.
Another song "O laila" features Indo-Canadian actress Sunny Leone.
Sunny, a porn star, even danced to the song at the music launch.
Sophie Choudry features in the third song, which is called "Ala re ala manya ala" and she also danced with John Abraham here.
Clarifies Sanjay Gupta, "Kangana is my film's heroine and there is no reason for her to be upset. She has a full-fledged role in the film. When Katrina did Chikni Chameli it didn't mean that Priyanka was upset.
Likewise Kareena doing Fevicol was not reason for Sonakshi to be upset. I don't think that we should see more than what meets the eye."
