With Amitabh Bachchan making news for his cameo in 'The Great Gatsby', we look at actors from Bollywood who have been part of Hollywood ventures


Amitabh Bachchan: In 'The Great Gatsby', which stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead, Big B portrays the character of a Jewish gambler Meyer Wolfsheim.


Freida Pinto: Following her debut in the Oscar-winning 'Slumdog Millionaire' (2008), Pinto has featured in 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' (2011), as a primatologist and in 'Immortals' (2011), as an Oracle priestess.


Anil Kapoor: In 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' (2011), he appeared as Brij Nath, a rich Indian businessman. Anil was earlier seen in 'Slumdog Millionaire' (2008), as a game show host.


Tabu: Apart from gaining critical acclaim back home, she has also been part of much-appreciated Hollywood films like Mira Nair's 'The Namesake' (2006) and, more recently, 'Life of Pi'


Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan: The Bachchan bahu also starred in more than one Hollywood ventures - 'The Pink Panther 2' (2009) and The Last Legion (2007) among others.


Irrfan Khan: The talented actor's list of Hollywood films include 'The Amazing Spiderman' (2012), 'New York, I Love You' (2009), 'The Namesake' (2006) and 'Life of Pi' (2012)


Anupam Kher: In 2012's highly-acclaimed romantic comedy-drama 'Silver Linings Playbook', Kher featured as a court-mandated therapist, Dr. Cliff Patel


Suraj Sharma:The youngster impressed one and all as the lead character, who is stranded on a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean with a tiger, in Ang Lee's 'Life of Pi' (2012).


Mallika Sherawat: The overrated actress did eminently forgettable roles in 'Hiss' (2010) and 'Politics of Love' (2011).


Persis Khambatta: The late actor showed off chiseled perfection by going bald in 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture' (1979). The former model and Miss India was the country's first full-fledged Hollywood actor, though she had bit roles in several films. She flopped in Bollywood but her global appeal had made her an international name


Om Puri: The veteran actor starred in the 1996 historical adventure horror film 'The Ghost and the Darkness'. He also featured in Jack Nicholson-starrer 'Wolf' (1994) as a paranormal scholar


Amrish Puri: Known for his villainous roles in Bollywood, Puri portrayed the character of Mola Ram, a demonic Thuggee priest, who performs rituals of human sacrifices, in 'Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom' (1984)


Naseeruddin Shah: The veteran Indian actor was Captain Nemo in the 2003 superhero film adaptation 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'.


Victor Banerjee: Back in 1984, Victor was part of David Lean's last film 'A Passage To India'. In the film, he plays Dr. Aziz Ahmed, an impoverished widower


Roshan Seth: He played the role of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in the 1982 epic 'Gandhi' (1982), following which his name became synonymous with the character. He also starred in the 1994 action flick 'Street Fighter'


Kabir Bedi: In the 1983 James Bond film 'Octopussy', the suave actor was the bodyguard of the main villain, who is an exiled Afghan prince
