The joint venture between Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar's production banners made news when Kareena Kapoor allegedly refused to shoot for intimate scenes with her co-star Emraan Hashmi. However, if rumours are to be believed, the makers are considering replacing the cast with younger actors.
Insiders say the producers are considering roping in Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt for the lead roles.
After the film, which was initially set to go on the floors by September, failed to take off owing to apparent logistical issues, Emraan went ahead and allotted the same dates he had initially given to this project to another film to be helmed by his good friend Kunal Deshmukh.
Says a source, `Kunal's film will go on for at least two months, till the end of this year. The makers have decided to give the cast a new look and replace the 35-plus actor with Sidharth.`
However, Tanuj Garg, the CEO of Ekta's production house, rubbished the rumours.
