Farhan Akhtar has opted out of his home production, 'Raees', to be directed by Rahul Dholakia due to date issues.

The actor-director was supposed to play a cop's role in the film that stars Shah Rukh Khan. The project was supposed to go on the floors in September, but according to sources, due to SRK's injury the shoot has been pushed to October.

Farhan had already committed to Bejoy Nambiar's film that co-stars Amitabh Bachchan and is being produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. So now Farhan will only be co-producing 'Raees', and let someone else do the cop's role.
