Chartbuster from the '90s 'Pyar Mein Dil Pe Maar De Goli,' to be replayed on the screen

Nikhil Dwivedi has apparently has acquired the rights of the hit song, 'Pyar Mein Dil Pe Maar De Goli,' for his film, 'Tamanchey'.

Dwivedi stars in the film opposite Richa Chaddha, and he is also producing the venture. It may be pointed out that the song, 'Pyar Mein Dil Pe Maar De Goli', was composed by music director RD Burman and was sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhonsle for the film, Mahaan. The film was a multi-starrer with Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi in lead roles.

Director Navneet Behal confirmed the story. `Yes, it's true that we have got the rights of the song.` However, he refused to divulge any more details. When contacted, Nikhil Dwivedi replied, `I am busy in a meeting, I will talk to you later.`

Interestingly, sources say that the makers of Bullett Raja wanted to acquire the rights of this song. In fact, they had apparently added a few lines to another song from their film and had started rehearsing as well, but later, they were dropped because Bullett Raja's makers did not get the rights of the song.
