Director Vikas Bahl has expressed his desire to cast Alia Bhatt opposite Shahid Kapoor for his next film titled 'Shaandar', which is slated to go on the floor in August this year.

"We have finalised Shahid. I would like to have Alia in the film, but we are still working on the script. So its too early to talk about it (the heroine)," Vikas said, though he chose not to confirm if Alia has been approached for the film.


Even Alia chose not to confirm nor deny anything. "I prefer not to talk about anything right now. Whenever it has to come out it will," Alia said.
