An eager fan showed up at Priyanka Chopra's residence on Sunday evening. While the actress is away shooting in Barcelona, some high voltage drama unfolded outside her Mumbai residence. A source says, `On Sunday evening, a 25-year-old guy was found snooping around Priyanka's building. The security guards found his behaviour highly suspicious and soon some people roughed him up thinking that he was a thief. Then the police was called in and they interrogated him.`

A thorough search of his bag revealed that the man, a Priyanka Chopra fan, was carrying sweets, bangles and flowers for the actress. It seems that he was keen to meet her and give her the gifts. `When the police questioned him,he was elusive and at first, he even gave them a false name. Soon he realised the futility of this exercise and he told them that he had come down to Mumbai all the way from Nagpur only to get a glimpse of his favourite actress,` says an eyewitness.

The source adds that when the police called his family, they found out that he had lied to them as well. `It seems that he had told his family that he was travelling to Mumbai to attend a friend's wedding. They had no idea that he was going all the way to Mumbai just to meet Priyanka Chopra,` says the source.
