The 38-year-old actress said the audience's love pushes her everytime to sign a new project. "I never wanted to become an actress but I am thankful to God that whatever I am doing and have done in the past people are appreciating my work.
So, I just take the dare and come onscreen," Mahie told PTI. Last seen in paranormal comedy film 'Gang of Ghosts', Mahie, who is currently filming Punjabi movie 'Carry on Jatta 2', wants to try out different characters as an artiste.
"I want to do something that excites me. If I don't like a particular role or a script I don't do it. I need something interesting everytime," she added. The actress was in the Capital to promote hair care brand Pantene's new range.
Mahie feels that it is difficult to manage hair in metropolitan cities. "I had good hair when I was in Chandigarh. But when I moved to Mumbai, my hair quality deteriorated due to the pollution.
I do not experiment much with my hair and have been using the shampoo since childhood," she said. Mahie has so far shared screen space with Irrfan Khan, Abhay Deol , Kalki Koechlin, Jimmy Shergil and Priyanka Chopra among others.
