The all-round entertainer has been vocal about his decision to be a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and about the show being a new phase of his life. Over the past week, what has been evident is that Sreesanth has been leaving no stone unturned to make his performances stand out from those of the other contestants.
But while Sreesanth has been going great guns on the show, a dampener to his determination is an unknown injury that he suffered in his left hand while rehearsing for his first act.
Shrugging off the pain, Sreesanth continued to dance; however, when the pain became unbearable with gradual performances, he was forced to get this injury checked out. And, the injury which Sreesanth paid no heed to turned out to be a hairline fracture which now has him sporting a cast to ensure a speedy recovery!
During the course of his sports career, Sreesanth has undergone six surgeries and even has a metal rod fixed which supports his toe. However, to Sreesanth's relief, the injury was not as bad as all those previous injuries and he has been asked to not lift heavy objects until it has completely recovered.
A professional through and through, Sreesanth is adamant that his hiccup of an injury will not affect his participation on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, where he has been seen sporting a sling. In fact, he will be seen presenting a Rajasthani Kathputli Act which speaks volumes about his dedication to the art.
When asked about his injury, Sreesanth said, `With this injury, I do not wish to get any sympathy votes from my fans and loved one. I am a sportsman and I have had major injuries in the past and I have learned dealing with it. I am here to stay in the game and will ensure that I do not let my choreographer down and support her to every possible extent.`
