In April this year, Tyagi had filed a complaint against Kapoor at the Versova police station alleging he had tried to rape her two years ago. The filmmaker was booked under sections 354 (outraging a woman's modesty), 354 A (sexual harassment), 354 B (attempting to disrobe a woman) and 501 (defamation) of the Indian Penal Code.
Geetika could not be reached for a comment, but Kapoor denied the news. `This is not true,` he said. Meanwhile, ACP Samadhan Dhanedar of the Versova police station confirmed that Kapoor was arrested and let out on bail after paying a sum of Rs 10,000.
A video allegedly featuring him and a starlet Geetika Tyagi had gone viral in which the latter is seen slapping the director, who had allegedly sexually molested the actress.

Tyagi tweeted the news on the social networking site. She posted, "Subhash Kapoor has been arrested today. I have full faith in the Indian judicial system thanks #Mumbai Police."
Tyagi had filed a complaint against the director with the Versova police in April alleging he had tried to rape her two years ago. She had also uploaded a video showing her slapping Kapoor, in front of his wife, after accusing him of sexually abusing her.
Tyagi had uploaded the 30-minute video on February 17 on YouTube and then the next day shared the video link on her official Twitter handle. The video link tweeted by Geetika, who has acted in films such as 'Aatma' and 'One by Two', went viral.
The video, which shows the director, his wife Dimple Kharbanda, 'Aurangzeb' director Atul Sabharwal and Tyagi, was apparently taken with a hidden camera.
Sabharwal, who encouraged Tyagi to post the video online, was seen as a mediator between Kapoor and Tyagi.
