Did Ali Fazal's commitment to Mukesh Bhatt's film 'Khamoshiyaan' stop him from promoting 'Bobby Jasoos'?

Vidya Balan has been making appearances in various TV shows and visiting several cities in order to promote her upcoming film, Bobby Jasoos.

But interestingly, Ali Fazal, who stars in the film alongside Vidya, is missing from the promotions. It turns out that Ali wanted to take part in the film's promotions but he has had to give it a miss due to his other film commitments.

Says a source, "Ali is pretty thrilled about his role in the film even though the story mainly revolves around Vidya's character. Earlier on, he had even chalked out a schedule keeping in mind the film's August release.

But when the makers decided to release it in the first week of July, it upset his calendar and Ali realised that he had no new dates to allot for the film's promotions."

The source adds that Ali stars in Mukesh Bhatt's film, Khamoshiyaan, which went on the floors earlier this month. "The makers of Khamoshiyaan plan to finish the film in one long schedule.

Ali requested Mukeshji to allow him to take a break for a few days but this did not happen. This is why he has joined the promotions only now," says the source. Ali's spokesperson confirmed the story. "Promotions for his film, Bobby Jasoos, and shooting for Khamoshiyaan - both are underway and he is trying his best to divide his time between the two."


While Mukesh Bhatt, was unavailable for comment, Bobby Jasoos' producer, Dia Mirza, said, "As per the publicity plan designed by the studio and the PR team, Ali has been and will continue to be a part of events/promotions where he is required.

We are happy that Ali has bagged another solo lead film. Mukeshji has known me since. I was a child and he has been extremely cooperative about accommodating Ali's dates for my film's publicity."
