There are stars and then there are actors. But then there are very few stars who can act. Vivek Oberoi has proved it time and again with his stellar acts which also won him awards in addition to box office rewards.

After his back to back hits in 2013, Vivek Oberoi was never in a hurry to sign films. He has carefully chosen a couple of scripts. But he has been keeping them secret. Now cat is out of the bag and we can tell you that he is gearing up to play a cop. Yes, you heard it right, the very actor who earned accolades as gangster in films like 'Company', 'Shootout At Lokhandwala' and 'Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story' will be seen as cop in Sanjay Gupta's next big budget venture 'Mumbai Saga'.

Film will see Vivek reportedly playing a role inspired by a senior Mumbai Police inspector and encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar who was killed in 26/11 attacks. He was awarded Ashoka Chakra posthumously. According to the buzz, Vivek will cut his hair and grow moustache to look the part.

Vivek had earlier worked with Sanjay Gupta in 'Shootout At Lokhandwala'. Film is slated to go on floor in September and should hit the big screens in mid 2015.
