At the music launch of the film along with Dharmendra and Gippy Grewal, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Ashok Ghai, co-producer Kenny Chhabra and director of Speed Records Dinesh Aulakh were also present. During launch of the film when Dhramendra was asked about his experience of working in a Punjabi Film, he said, `I am the son of the soil, it was a delightful experience and as we know Punjabi cinema has earned its share of popularity, and I don't think Punjabi cinema is anywhere behind Bollywood. And if by God's grace the film works you would be seeing me doing more of Punjabi films.`
Gippi Gerewal, singer turned actor said, `The music of the film is undoubtedly a typically folk and we have tried to add different flavours to the music.`
According to Gurpreet Ghuggi, this film is by the 'True Punjabis' earlier the main lead of the films were dominated by actors from Uttar Pradesh or other states, but this film would be featuring the son of the soil, Dharmendra. Sharing the experience on the sets of the film Dharmendra added, `The entire shooting was like a picnic for me, I turn 25 when I am on the sets, I enjoyed this whole experience thoroughly! Our shot at the villages were exciting as the people of the village were so warm and adjusting, I just felt being at home.`
Further Ghuggi shared about his take on his comedy, `It is not an easy task to make people laugh, and also we cannot repeat the same kind of comedy. I try adding different shades to my character in each film I work in.`
In the end Dharmendra commended the growth in Punjabi cinema and asserted, `We are reaching Mumbai and Hollywood isn't far.` Concerned about the plague of drug addiction in the society Dharmendra announced that his next project is on the same topic which would star Sunny Deol in the lead.
Showman Subhash Ghai's brother Ashok Ghai has produced the film and it has been directed by Smeep Kang, the film also stars veteran actor Poonam Dhillon, Manisha Lamba and Kulraj Randhawa. The film would be releasing on the 29 August.
