Ram Kapoor could not conceal his excitement when he was teamed up with Sunny Leone for Devang Dholakia's comedy, Patel Rap. His wait, however, to shoot with the former adult star has got longer. The film's director had a health scare recently which led to the shoot schedule being postponed. The unit was slated to shoot in Malaysia.
Says a source, "Devang was suffering from jaundice, but was unaware of his ill-health. He also has diabetes. The pre-production work was on when one day he collapsed. He was rushed to hospital and was in the ICU for two weeks."
Adds the source, "The director is now better, but has been advised complete bed rest."
Patel Rap has Ram essaying the role of a Gujarati businessman, who is settled in Kuala Lumpur, while Sunny plays a star.
Says Ram, "It's true that our director, Devang, is currently ill. Sunny and I have readjusted our dates. We will fully cooperate with Devang and his team."
The film's spokesperson adds, "The shoot of Patel Rap will now begin in November taking into consideration the director's health condition."
