According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Farhan Akhtar was rushed to the doctor. The diagnosis was medial epicondylitis, which affects the tendons of the elbow. In simple layman's terms it is referred to as the golfer's elbow because while making a golf swing, this tendon is stressed but the condition can be brought about even without handling a golf club, as Farhan found out recently.
The report quotes a source close to the actor as saying that the actor has been in excruciating pain for the last five to six days and his left hand has been completely immobilised. "What made it worse was that he could not take painkillers and instead had to rely on ice-compression, elevation and rest. He has been quietly resting at home and the pain has eased a bit," added the source. Farhan has a concert to perform at, in Bangalore, and is hoping he can recuperate before the show so that he is able to perform there.
