Be it the western showbiz or our very own Bollywood, fascination for Shakespearean sagas is something which is ubiquitous in every arena of cine making. And existence of numerous Shakespearean adaptations like Omkara (Othello), Maqbool (Macbeth), "Ishaqzaade and Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela" (Romeo and Juliet) and even recently released Haider (Hamlet) in Bollywood is one of the conspicuous proof of the aforementioned fact.

But now if recent reports coming from tinsel town are to be believed, then they suggest that our Bollywooders are done with this "fiddling with adaptions" and now they are all set to bring forth "Hamlet" in an unadulterated form . Yes you heard it right! As per reports now cine making giant Walt Disney Pictures is all set to present the viewers with an immaculate edition of "Hamlet"...

And guess who is expected to be in the lead?

Well as per our sources it's none other than Sexiest Asian man Hrithik Roshan. Reports further reveal that the makers have almost finalized Hrithik to play the leading role in this dream project of Goldie Behl, which is expected to go on floor in April next year, and now only signing that dotted line is left.


Besides Hrithik, makers are also considering the names of Irrfan and Nawazuddin Siddhiqui to play one of the prominent roles in the movie. Hitherto the makers are tight lipped over this entire development, but as per our sources there are possibilities that an official announcement in this regard will be made soon. In order to confirm the verity of the buzz when casting director of Walt Disney Picture, Om Lakhani, was contacted, he remained unavailable for comment.

Well with the resurfacing of this news pertaining to Hrithik's being into this Shakespearean saga, it is also pertinent to mention here that in October last year a similar buzz also made it to grapevine, which suggested about Jr Roshan's refusing Tigmanshu Dhulia's "Hamlet" because of the stark resemblance its premise with the plot of Duggu's 2012 release "Agneepath".


But now with this almost confirmed news of coming together of Bollywood's Greeko God hunk with cine making giant, Walt Disney let's hope that the benchmark of Shakespearean sagas of Bollywood gets raised drastically this time.
