According to the latest grapevine, Vidya Balan has turned down Ram Gpal Verma ‘Shock' because it
also stars one flop-film-old actor Mohit Ahlawat, however, Parineeta girl denies these
rumours.
"Who wouldn't want to work with Ramuji?" she asks and adds," But unfortunately he wanted the
same dates as ‘Munnabhai Meets Mahatma'. So I couldn't obviously do the film. Now I hear my friend
Raima is doing it. I am happy for her."
But there is a reason to rejoice for Vidya too. Rituparno Ghosh has decided to cast her as Jaba in
his forthcoming movie Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam.
To be produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, the film also stars Priyanka Chopra and Salman
Khan.
Commenting on her inclusion in the coveted film Vidya says, "Yes, I have been approached by Ritu
da and I am very keen on working with him. He is one of the finest filmmakers in India who portrays
the sensibility of woman on screen exquisitely."
I have seen his works like Chokher Bali and Raincoat; I think it would be delightful to work with such a
seasoned director. We are working out the dates and I am yet to read the final script. If everything
works out then I shall be doing the film."
