''I play a doctor in my debut film,'' Nausheen told mediapersons here.
Produced by Matrix Communications, 'Mumbai Marathon' is written and directed by debutant Nisha.
The film has five different stories running parallel to each other. ''I liked the script a lot. Each character in the film has been worked out with a lot of detail,'' Nausheen said.
On her future plans, she promptly said, ''For me, quality of a role in more important. I don't mind doing one film or serial at a time.'' When quizzed about her absence from television scene where she was last seen in a triple role in 'Kalchakra' after 'Kkusum', she ''Not at all. I am still open to television.
I started my career with the small screen and will always be open to it if a good project comes my way.'' At present, Nausheen is busy shooting for 'Mumbai Marathon' and has two more projects in hand.
Meanwhile, another Bollywood aspirant, who will make his film debut with Karan Razdan's 'Eight' is Rajiv Tara, son-in-law of music composer Jaikishan, of the famous Shankar-Jaikishan duo.
The film is a supernatural flick starring Padmini Kolhapure, Meghna Naidu and veteran actor late Rajkumar's daughter Vastavikta.
''I play a character named Raj who is gifted with an unusual power of connecting to the third world. He can see spirits,'' Rajiv said.
''I took up the film because the story was different and there was a lot of scope for me as an actor to perform and prove myself, he added.'' On his future projects, Rajiv said, ''I am looking at a couple of scripts but nothing has been finalised as yet. I want to be selective about my roles as I believe in doing good and quality work.'
