Another Remake! Another Dad-son venture! Another hit?? Feroz Khan is all set to make a remake of
his 1980 superhit, Qurbani that starred himself (Feroz), Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman and Amjad Khan
in the lead. He wants his son Fardeen to step in his dad's shoes.
This year already has a big list of remakes... Othello, Umrao Jaan, Don, Sholay, Jodha-Akbar,
Prithiviraj-Sanjukta are to name a few. And Feroz is the latest to join the queue. Qurbani was a story
of two friends Rajesh (Feroz) and Amar (Vinod Khanna), both conmen, who love the same girl, Sheela
(Zeenat Aman).
In the remake version Fardeen Khan will play his fathers character, Rajesh and Saif Ali Khan will
essay Vinod Khanna's character, Amar.
Fardeen confirms, "I will be playing dad's role, and
we have signed Saif for the other lead. We haven't decided on the girl or the other cast yet. But yes,
shortly, we'll be making a formal announcement about all this in a big way."
Qurbani was written, produced and directed by Feroz Khan. Its sexy songs featuring Zeenat Aman
and violent climax (shot in England) are still remembered by many.
