Our very own 'Desi Rockstar' from Pollywood is all set to make his entry into the Tinsel Town. Apparently, the Pakistani actor Fawad Khan would not be able to a part of much talked about 'Udta Punjab', so the makers approached Diljit Dosanj and he gave it a thumbs up!

Abhishek Chaubey's film has created been creating a lot of ripples around before it even went on floor. The casting of the film has been catching everyone's eye. Shahid-Kareena reunion, and then after replacing, first Ayushmann Khurana and then Fawad Khan now, the talented actor from 1984 Punjab has been casted opposite Kareena Kapoor.

After, Gippi Gerewal now Dijit is ready to try his luck in Bollywood. Diljit has give few blockbusters in Punjabi cinema like1984 Punjab, Jatt and Juliet, Jine Mera Dil Luteya, etc. other than that Diljit has also lent his voice to few popular Bollywood flicks.


However, Ayushmann was director's first choice, but according to the grapevine the actress demanded a popular actor to be casted opposite her as she wont settle for a lesser know star. Therefore, Ayushmann was shown the door and Fawad made an entry. Though, Fawad's entry did excite the team, but the calamity struck when Fawad refused to do the film. The reason behind Fawad's refusal is best known to him.

In the end Dilijit the Jatt came to rescue Juliet and signed the film. According to a source, Diljit is very excited to work opposite Kareena as he is a big fan. Apart form Kareena and Diljit, Shahid and Alia are also in the lead role.
