They don't call Chunky 'monkey Panday' for nothing. If its got to be a line associated with the glamour
world, Chunky has got to jump on to the bandwagon.
Be it dinner parties, high-profile restaurants, hosting talk shows, event management, or becoming a
superstar of Bangladeshi films – the actor has done it all – and continues to surprise. The latest he is
on to, is production. Yes! Chunky, along with his business partner Abhijit Chowdhary, has now turned
'producer' for the new series of the popular TV programme 'Superhit Muqabla' (Sundays, 10pm).
And while this countdown show on DD fetches him the monies, Chunky's anchoring of the new talk
show 'Rokkky Mera Naam' on Sahara Filmy is getting him the accolades.
Chunky's acting career is running on a smooth road too. He is getting good offers from some of the
best directors of Bollywood after his evident performance in Ram Gopal Verma's D. Now, he has been
signed for Farhan Akhtar's Don.
Recently he was signed for Subhash Ghai's ‘Apna Sapna Money Money' in which he plays the role of
a Nepali don and then again landed an interesting role in Feroz Nadiadwala's forthcoming film ‘Fool
and Final' where he will play a diamond thief who dies in the film without leaking out the secret of the
stolen diamonds.
For ‘Don' director Farhan Akthar signed Pandey for a guest appearance. However, the actor has been
advised to keep it confidential. "It is a big surprise and I have been advised to keep it strictly
confidential," he says.
His next release will be Ram Gopal Varma's Darwaza Bandh Karo, in which he plays the role of a
mysterious driver, who keeps the suspense element alive throughout the film. He has also tied up with
Sahara's ‘Filmi Channel, as their official brand ambassador.
Monkey, oops, Chunky sure is jumping places all over again.
