A local court today vacated the stay to shooting of film `Deepa Ki Tarannum', allegedly based on the life of bargirl Tarannum Khan.

Tarannum, a former bargirl who was arrested last year by police for alleged involvement in cricket betting, had approached the civil court seeking stay to shooting of this film, saying it was based on her life.

But the court today vacated the stay after film's producer Ranjit Singh pleaded that the film had nothing to do with Tarannum's life.

Thirty per cent shooting of the film is complete. Incidentally, Preeti Jain, who had accused Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar of sexual exploitation -- is playing a lead role in the film.
