Unlike the youthful, coming-of-age characters that defined his early career, Khan described Adhure Hum Adhure Tum as a mature, dysfunctional romantic comedy that reflects his personal and professional evolution:
"I have just finished shooting a new movie. It's my first movie in 10 years, and we're in post-production right now. It's called Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It's for Netflix and is scheduled to come out end of this year. It's a grown-up romantic comedy... age-appropriate to where I am now."
Directorial Reunion: The film reunites Khan with filmmaker Danish Aslam, who previously directed him in the 2010 romantic comedy Break Ke Baad alongside Deepika Padukone.
Ensemble Cast: The project co-stars Gurfateh Pirzada and Bhumi Pednekar. Speaking about his co-star, Khan noted: "I've just worked with a really great young actor, Gurfateh Pirzada... It's the one I simply had to make after 10 years."
