Sony SAB’s Hastinapur Ke Veer explores the childhood journey of the Pandavas and Kauravas, where friendships and family bonds begin to change as the young princes grow up. As emotions and misunderstandings come in the way of close friendships, Ashwathama and Arjun find themselves at a turning point.
In the upcoming episodes, Ashwathama’s (Dhaval Tripathi) jealousy grows as he struggles with Guru Dronacharya’s (Jiten Lalwani) faith in Arjun (Urva Savaliya) and begins to feel that his father values Arjun more than him. Sensing his hurt, Duryodhan (Ayudh Bhanushali) takes advantage of his emotions and slowly turns him against Arjun. This finally leads to a confrontation between the two friends, where Ashwathama hurt and angry tells Arjun that he regrets their friendship and believes he was wrong to consider him a friend. Left hurt and confused by Ashwathama’s sudden change, Arjun struggles to understand what went wrong between them.
How will Arjun deal with the sudden loss of a friendship he deeply valued?
Jiten Lalwani who essays Guru Dronacharya shared, “As a father and a guru Dronacharya wants both Ashwathama and Arjun to grow into strong and capable individuals. He sees Arjun’s dedication and potential but he does not realise how deeply his words are affecting Ashwathama. Personally, I feel this makes the situation very emotional because Dronacharya has no intention of creating a difference between them. He is simply trying to guide his students, while unknowingly his own son is feeling hurt and left behind.”
Urva Savaliya, who essays Arjun, shared, “For Arjun, Ashwathama has always been a close friend, so his sudden change is very difficult for him to understand. Arjun has never seen their friendship as a competition and he does not realise why Ashwathama is suddenly so angry with him. It hurts him to hear that Ashwathama regrets their friendship, especially because Arjun still values their bond. I think this phase shows how painful it can be when a friendship changes without you even knowing what went wrong.”
Dhaval Tripathi, who essays Ashwathama, shared, “Ashwathama is going through a lot of emotions at this point. He loves and respects his father, so when he feels that Dronacharya sees more potential in Arjun, it hurts him. He starts believing that Arjun has taken away the place he always wanted. For Ashwathama, this is the beginning of a very difficult change in his friendship with Arjun.”
