"It is an honour to represent your country at the global platform. Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan had also attended the film festival earlier," says a visibly ecstatic Preity.
Also representing India at the fest would be filmmaker Dev Benegal, film student Anirban Datta and Bombay-based producer Sunil Doshi.
While Benegal has been selected to participate in the ‘Atelier' section for seasoned directors and new talent, Datta has been selected in the ‘Cinéfondation' section for his film ‘Tetris'. Sunil Doshi will showcase Rajat Kapoor's ‘Mixed Doubles' to the international delegates attending the ‘Pavillon du Sud'.
Cannes Festival will begin on May 17 and conclude on May 28 with the award ceremony.
