Murli plays lead actress Nauheed Cyrus' brother Prem, who is a software engineer based in the US.
"The script is well written and it was a pleasant experience working with director Param Gill (US-based Indian filmmaker)," Murli told.
On his character, he said: "Like any brother he loves his sister and is protective about her."
After playing a trendy role in "Rock N Meera", Murli will don the garb of Raja Kishore Singh in another international project "The Mem Sahib", to be directed by Kruti Mazumdar. The timeline of the film spans from 1850 to the present.
Apart from his global projects, Murli is also looking forward to his role in Sudhanshu Jha's "Ek Dastak" which is a realistic film focusing on the lives of income tax officers. "We just have about four days of work left on the film," he said.
Unlike other actors who shun television after making it big in Bollywood, Murli is not averse to the medium and recently signed a series for Satyajeet Bhatkal who made the "Chale Chalo" documentary film on "Lagaan".
"I would not like to talk about it now. But I would like to say whether it is films or television, I want to do roles that allow me to do something new and take me a step further as an actor," said Murli.
