"Whatever that means. How can a music director boycott an actor?" Dino chuckles from Goa where he's shooting a short feature-film with Apoorva Lakhia called—hold your breath-- Sex On The Beach.
Dino has watched his place of origin Italy (his dad is Italian) win the World Cup semi-finals almost all night. "I've barely slept for two hours and now I'm on the beach feesh as a daisy, ready to have sex," Dino doubles up in delight as the Italian side of him rises in pride.
"People have fertile imaginations. Me? I'd rather be fertile in more productive ways. I've no patience with such rubbish. Himesh has denied it. Himesh and I are friends.
Even before this super-successful phase started in his career he gave super-yummy music in Ishq Hai Tumse for Bipasha and me. Himesh is doing music in three of my forthcoming films, one to be directed by Pavan Kaul and two by Ananth Mahadevan."
The rumours started after the surprise success of Aksar where Himesh's zingy title track Jhalak dikhla jaa was shared on screen by Dino and Emraan Hashmi.
According to a reliable source, "Some people in the industry feel they've a monolpoly over Himesh Reshammiya. They feel he has given a majority of his hits for them and therefore should remain exclusive to them.
This was a very poor attempt to create an imaginary rift with between Himesh and Dino just to keep the actor out of the Reshammiya sweepstakes."
Reverting to Dino... "I don't know where and how these rumours started. But I'm having a ball. In spite of bad reviews Aksar and Tom Dick Harry made money.
I'm having ball shooting for Apoorva Lakhia. My co-star is a new very confident girl called Tarina."
Does he enjoy working with newcomers? "I was lucky for Bipasha in Raaz, not so lucky for Onjali in Holiday. Let's see. Apoorva Lakhia is shooting this flick like an international product.
Early in my career I had shot an Alisha Chinai music video with Apu. Now we're both different people."
