Shahid Kapoor finally put speculation to rest by confirming that his wife Mira Rajput is in the family way.

At the trailer launch of his upcoming film, 'Udta Punjab', held on Saturday night at a multiplex in Andheri, the actor declared, "Haan, main baap banewala hoon (Yes, I am going to be a dad)" when asked about the buzz.

For the last couple of weeks there had been buzz about Mira being pregnant.

The star wife was spotted with what looked like a baby bump at designer Masaba Gupta's show at a recent fashion event.

Masaba had later given a hint on Twitter while posting a snapshot of Mira and her from the fashion show.

Shahid wed Delhi girl Mira Rajput in July 2015.
