Ms Mehbooba Mufti, CM, Jammu and Kashmir launched the trailer & music of Film "Sargoshiyan" on 17th March 2017, at Hotel J W Marriott, in Mumbai. The film is produced by veteran TV actor Imran Khan. Entire star cast - Farida Jalal, Imran Khan, Sara Khan, Shahbaz Khan, Indranil Sengupta, Tom Alter, Aditi Bhatia, Khalid Siddiqui and Alok Nath were present at the do. Industry stalwarts and veterans like Ranjeet, Poonam Sinha, Sohail Khan, Raza Murad, Akbar Khan, Kanchan Adhikari, Inder kumar, Guddu Dhanao Narender Jha, Anju Mahendru, Parmeet Sethi, Lekh Tandon, Deepshikha, Shawar Khan,Ehsaan Quereshi, Shraddha with Ejaz Khan, Kanwaljit Singh and Kiran Kumar also graced the occasion.

Imran Khan's film is based on the true spirit of Kashmir and Kashmiriyat. It has been shot entirely in Kashmir amidst breath taking and unexplored locales. Imran is humbled that his debut film has received lots of love and support from J&K Bank, J&K Tourism, J&K Government, Indian Army and the lovely people of Kashmir.


The film also stars Kashmiri artist Zamir Ashayi, G.M.Wani and Zahoor Zaidi. Popular Kashmiri singer Mehmeet Sayed has rendered a song for the movie along with Amit Mishra of Bulleya fame from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Special screening was held for CM Mehbooba Mufti, who loved the movie and praised the effort of Imran Khan. She even complimented him that he has captured the real essence of Jammu and Kashmir. At the event, she also mentioned her father, late Mufti Mohammed Saeed who wanted Bollywood members to shoot in J&K. She added that she will fulfill her father's wish and has appealed to Bollywood to take inspiration from Imran's film - Sargoshiyan and shoot their movies in Kashmir.

Actor - Director Sohail Khan said he loves J&K and would love to go there for vacation with his kids and family.

The film is produced under the banner of Imran Khan's Production and is Written and Directed by Vijay Verma & Imran Khan.
