Ever since its announcement Padmavati (now Padmavat) has always been in news for many reasons. Whether it's about the subject of the film or whether the protests about the film. Now after much delay, CBFC has finally certified the film with some minor changes.
Now as the makers have got the certification of the film, the speculations about the release date of Padmavati are rife that it will be released on 25th January.

If the film gets released on 25th January then it will be a Box-Office clash between 'PadMan' and 'Padmavati' and also the business of 'Aiyaary' will be hampered which is scheduled to release on 26th January.

But no official confirmation or announcement from the makers has been made about the release date but Prerna Arora, one of the producers of 'PadMan' has said that they will not change the release date of PadMan to avoid a Box-Office clash. We have already made the announcement about the release date and it will be released as per the schedule.

Sources close to PadMan production team have also confirmed that the film will be released on its given date and no one from team Padmavati has approached them for the re-scheduling of the film.


Some other reports also suggest that if the Padmavati gets a release on 25th or 26th January the makers of 'Aiyaary' can change the release date of their film but it could be done only after an official confirmation by the Padmavati team.

Meanwhile, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions remained unavailable for comment regarding the speculations over the release date of Padmavati.

Now we can only wait and watch to see what happens next.
