Real-life father-daughter Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in the film.
Shelly shares,"On their first day together, I gave the clap and called it a historical shot as it was the first time we had two big stars who are also father and daughter. Anil is a typical dad who asks us to take Sonam's shots first; I find it endearing. We have been shooting at night and it gets nippy at times, so Sonam is constantly checking up on her father`
The film's shoot commenced last month, where Anil Kapoor and Madhu Malti started to shoot in Patiala while Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Juhi Chawla joined the sets later.
The film will also revive Anil Kapoor's cult song 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' and interestingly, even the films title is based on the song.
The film 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' will mark the directorial debut of filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra's sister Shelly Chopra Dhar.
Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra under the banner Vinod Chopra films, 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' is directed by debutante director Shelly Chopra Dhar and is slated to release on 12th October 2018.
