Our very own Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh has made us proud yet again by winning the 'Best actress award in an action film' for her film 'Thugs of Hindostan', at Jackie Chan International Action Movie Week held in Datong, North China's Shanxi Province. It's not the first time that the actress is visiting the acclaimed film festival as she had visited the same with her Dangal co-star Sanya Malhotra after Dangal had released in China.

The actress was extremely convincing as Zafira in Thugs of Hindostan. As Zafira, she was fiery and stunning. Her role required her to be an extremely talented fighter and someone who specializes in combat by bow and arrow. Zafira had to have perfect accuracy and she doesn't miss a target, ever. Needless to say, Fatima Sana Shaikh as Zafira brought vigor and freshness to Thugs of Hindostan and the fact that she has been internationally acknowledged for her role, certainly adds cherries to the cake.


Fatima looked absolutely stunning in a breathtaking red gown designed by Neeta Lulla. The gown had intricate weavings of flowers which upon descending turns into a sheer trail of the net. The look was complete with ruby jewelry, bold red lips, and nail paint. The actress also took to her Instagram to share her win with her fans and is seen spending time with Internationally acclaimed actors like Adrien Brody and Jackie Chan himself.


Giving us a diverse range of roles each time, Fatima is a treat for the audience! Slipping into characters that were mentally as well as physically exhausting, Fatima added life to her roles as a wrestler as well as a warrior princess. Following a tough routine, learning wrestling for Dangal and then stepping into the shoes of a warrior and learning archery, Fatima has exhibited immense perseverance and dedication for all her films.

Having wrapped a schedule of Anurag Basu's next in Bhopal, Fatima Sana Shaikh has been extremely excited to mark her first collaboration with Anurag Basu and Rajkummar Rao. She will next star alongside Saif Ali Khan and Ali Fazal in horror-comedy Bhoot Police.
